Railway Recruitment Board has released Railways Recruitment for Junior Engineers, Junior Engineers in Information Technology, Depot Material Superintendent & Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant. The RRB JE Recruitment is ongoing for 13,487 vacancies. RRB JE 2019 Vacancy has been revised from 14,033 to 13,487 for the post of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).

RRB JE selections consist of 4 stages:
Stage – 1 CBT I
Stage – 2 CBT II
Stage – 3 Document Verification
Stage – 4 Medical Exam

Railway JE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

POST EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Junior Engineer Diploma/Degree in Engineering or Relevant Stream prescribed against various post
in Annexture A of the detailed CEN to be published on various websites of RRB
Depot Material Superintendent Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline
Junior Engineer (Information Technology) PGDCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA/ B-tech (IT)/ B-tech (Computer Science)/ DOEACC
B level course of 3 years duration or equivalent form recognized university/institute
Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics and Chemistry with minimum 55% marks
Note: Those who are in the final year of their degree/diploma cannot apply for any post under RRB JE.
Examination fee of RRB-JE recruitment 2019
ur/obc 500/- 400/- refundable on appearing in cbt-I
sc/st/pwd/female 250/- full fee refundable on appearing in cbt-II

Medical Standards for the Posts

Candidates called for DV will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that the candidates are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted by them. Visual Acuity Standard is one of the important criteria of medical fitness of Railway staff. The medical requirements against different Medical Standards for different categories are outlined below:

2 B-1 Physically fit in all respects Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D),
Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and
Must pass the test for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Night Vision and Mesopic vision.
3 B-2 Physically fit in all respects Distance Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D).
Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required
and Must pass the test for Binocular Vision.
4 C-1 Physically fit in all respects Distance Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses.
Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.
Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery or any other surgery procedure to correct refractory error are not eligible for the post having Medical Standards A3, B1 and B2.
